Pregnancy is an incredibly time of your life and having had three babies of my own I know that all pregnancies are different, how we feel about our bodies can be complex and everyone experiences pregnancy differently. Whether you have loved every minute of it or you are just looking forward to having your baby in your arms it’s a beautiful time of your life to photograph and look back on. The strength of your body is incredible as it makes a mini human. A perfect version of a person you will love limitlessly.
My maternity sessions will make you feel empowered, beautiful and strong no matter how you feel about the journey. I make sure you feel relaxed and comfortable putting you at ease and giving you the confidence to be in front of the camera.
Out door or indoor sessions.

There is something incredibly liberating and freeing having your photos taken in the out doors. It may seem like a daunting prospect being out doors with little clothing on getting your photo taken however it is my job to make you feel at ease and keep you in your comfort zone. I have a client wardrobe you can choose from for the session from dresses to robes to beautiful draping material or you can bring something of your own. If you don’t feel comfortable with a lot of skin showing that is completely fine. The most important thing to me is that you feel comfortable and relaxed. Further into the session IF you feel a bit braver we can take it from there.
Outdoor maternity sessions are held at a choice of very private secluded spots in the Scottish country side. The locations I use for sessions are easily accessible for you however are not well known or on obvious walking paths so no dog walkers will get a surprise during our session.
Indoor/at home sessions.

If you feel more comfortable in the comfort of your own home I can come to your home, holiday home or other location of your choice for the session. I can bring my client wardrobe with me for you to choose from or you can wear something of your own. I recommend nutrual colours without contrasting patterns. Like the out door sessions the most important thing to me if that you feel comfortable and at ease.

I have a client wardrobe with a selection of outfits from dresses + robes to trousers and large scarfs. You can also bring along anything you would like to be photographed in.

Of course you can. We can have a chat before the session and you can tell me what you have in mind. This is about you. It’s important to me that you love the photos and that means being happy with the location. I can also suggest places if you don’t have anywhere in mind.

Yes definitely. It’s a good chance forus to chat through what to expect at the session and make you feel more an ease. This can be done on call or video call.

Yes definitely. It’s a grea opertunity to get some photos of the two (and dump) of you before baby arrives. Sometimes partners can be camera shy so they only need to be in a few if the are nervous.

Yes. I love siblings being in the photo’s. I suggest another adult coming along so they can eithet amuse or take the kids away at some point allowing us to get some photos of you on your own. However I’m flexible so we can work around whatever you can mange.

The golden question. I think anything from 36-39 weeks is best. In the last few weeks before your due date your bump really pops. The bigger the bump the better but there is a balance as some people feel sluggish and uncomfortable the closer you get to baby arriving. Again I want you to feel comfortable so we can chat about timings and work out when would be best for you. Everyone and every pregnancy is different.
