  • When you know your due date get intouch and I can pencil you in around a week after your due date. When baby arrives let me know and we can confirm the date and timings. Dates can be moved around as babies can be unpredictable and keep us on their toes with when they choose to arrive but it is important to let me know in advance so I know to fit you in.

If you haven’t been intouch before baby arrives don’t worry, get intouch and we can arrange a date as soon as possible. Baby dosen’t have to be newly hatched, every stage is incredible and worth documenting.

  • Any stage/age.

Babies change so quickly you are going to look back on photographs and think how much they have changed no matter when you get them taken. Due to the way I work in a very natural and documentary style I can capture you’r baby at any stage. The closer you have a session to their birth date the sleepier baby is which allows me to get photographs of them all cured up and sleepy. The first couple of week works best for this. They are more predictable in the sense they will sleep more and won’t wake while I move them. They are very bendy at this stage so I can get photos of them in the curly position. As they get older they stretch out more and the curly position isn’t as easy to get.

After 6 weeks baby will be awake a lot of the time. They may be starting to smile and a lot more responsive which is also wonderful to capture. Having had 3 babies of my own I truly beleive every stage is incredible and beautiful to capture. I have a huge amount of experience with babies, not just photographing them so you can come to the session and relax. Let me do all of the work. The only thing you have to do is the feeding, unless it’s a bottle. I am even don’t mind nappy changing.

  • I have been photographing babies and new borns or over 10 years now. I have also had three babies of my own so know the reality of life with a newborn and being a new mum. It’s an incredible stage of life that brings the most incredible highs and lets face it some pretty low lows at times. It’s emotional, exhausting, sore and scary at times (but it gets easier I promise). You can come to the session and not have to put on a front. I am a good listener and will make you feel relaxed and at ease. Nothing phases me. I also love baby cuddles so happily take baby and let you sit back and relax watching on for couple hours while I do all the work.

  • Home sessions:

I will come to your home and have a little look around to see where the best light and space is. You can also send me a little video from your phone ahead of the session if you want to so I can see the light and space you have in your home.

We’ll have quick chat to get to know each other and make you feel at ease and find out if there are any particular photographs you want ie. any special details, combinations with parents etc. I will then work my magic with baby and get beautiful photographs for you of you and your baby. Everything is baby lead so if we need to stop and feed or have nappy changes we do that. The most important thing is baby is happy and relaxed.

You do not have to tidy your home or make things look perfect. You have enough to deal having had a baby, I can work around things and move things out of the way if I need to. Don’t be embarrassed about clutter or mess. Its life.

  • No. I will bring my new born cushion and some blankets which are all freshly cleaned and disinfected. If you do have any particular baby blankets or outfits look these out and we can use them. I will bring some my own new wardrobe with me and we can decide if you’d like to use anything I have if you feel you don’t have anything.

Details like hospital tags, cards, toys can be photographed aswell as keep sakes if you would like. It’s nice to remember all the details.

  • Please feel free to ask me any questions you have either before booking or on the run up to the session. If you would like to schedule a call on the run up to the session we can arrange this however this isn’t necessary so please don’t worry if you don’t have time or don’t feel up to it. Everyone feels differently. I am very confident in photographing newborns and babies so you are in good hands.

  • Please drop me an email through my contact form with your due date or if baby has arrived let me know roughly when you would like a session. I will send you out my booking form to get you booked in.

Studio News:

I have exciting times ahead as I am currently working on my very own new born studio where client’s can come and have their session in the comfort of my beautiful studio in Glasgow. Pre covid I offered studio sessions in my own little studio. Since then I have had to take a step back as we moved house where my little studio was and we added to our own family. With my youngest now 6 it is time to concentrate on babies again…just not my own. I have been working on building my very own beautiful studio, fully equipped to welcome families for relaxing studio sessions. I will be offering the same natural artistic images just in a different setting. Lots of beautiful natural light, warm and cosy for little ones and plenty of caffeine and chocolate for the parents.

The studio will hopefully be open before summer. Watch this space.
